The first article listed in the REALTOR® Code is the commitment of REALTORS® to be informed of essential facts. REALTORS® have an obligation to not only know about the changes in our industry but also to be informed of the requirements of the changes.
Interpretation 1.1: Expressly requires that a REALTOR® must be aware of current legislation and pending legislation where reasonably possible, including zoning.
